Creativity Club update – Ideas for Primary

The creativity club (aka maker space) will be using one of the new spacious, well-lit rooms on level 3. Most of the contents have been moved from the old space, tools will be replenished over Easter and we are almost ready to go!

Some primary teachers have shown an interest in utilising the space for their technology project too.

some ideas/prompts/inspiration for student projects:

– rube goldberg machines ( from salvaging old electronics
– paper mechatronics
– paper circuits, combining paper and simple electronic circuits
– e-textiles, sewing and simple electronics
– Simone Giertz, the Queen of Shitty Robots, &
– paper automato
– japanese Karakuri & Origami combined with simple electronics/motors
